Blue is usually taken to have a calming, relaxing effect on us. Perhaps that's why you're attracted to my Blue Bell Jar art print.
But when I'm making art, I feel most satisfied as an artist when I'm creating art at top speed, working intuitively, following my instincts and putting a lot of visible energy into each piece.
This image may be cool and blue on the outside, and you might love it as a relaxing blue floral still life.
But, in contrast, it's also full of vitality and dynamic energy: the flowers themselves are full of swirling movement, and each pastel stroke I added to create the whole is filled with light and life.
While this picture is certainly calming through its layers of cool colour, I'd love to feel that its lively character might also energise and invigorate you, lifting your mood and animating your spirit.
Yes, I really would love that. Because then you'd know exactly how I feel creating life-affirming art like this.
Take a moment to delight in the detail and discover the dynamic energy that brings this image to life.
Comments/Reviews: "This is beautiful, Susan!! Mesmerizing somehow." (Laivi).
"Blue always wins." (Lisi).
"Beautiful!" (Deborah).
